Description
TIGER – 100% Carbon SUP Race Fin
SUP race fin for flat water speed, improved tracking & faster buoy turns
SUP Race Fin – The TIGER paddleboard race fin is designed for increased speed, enhanced tracking and faster buoy turns especially on flat water. The Tiger is highly recommended for medium to long distance racing on flat water as well as technical races with lots of buoy turns.
The Tiger SUP race fin is best suited for advanced to professional stand up paddlers with a medium to high cadence. Built in our ultralight Pro Carbon construction our fins are the lightest sup race fins available.
The Tiger standup race fin has been winning races around the world thanks to its speed and wide range of use, this is the go to fin for advanced & elite level athletes in a wide range of SUP racing conditions. The Tiger standup race fin is optimized to maintain higher average speeds, promote faster buoy turns and deliver blistering finishing sprints.
The Tiger was used by Sonni Hönscheid to dominate The Euro Tour in 2015, 2016 & 2017. The Tiger SUP race fin is popular among APP World Tour athletes and was widely used at the 2017 ISA World Championships in Denmark where paddlers using the Tiger collected a large number of medals. Thanks to its ease and range of use the Tiger SUP race fin has been successful at local and national level racing worldwide. The Tiger further demonstrated it’s pure speed when Enzo Bennett won the 2017 Lost Mills Fastest Paddler on Earth time trials.
The Tiger SUP race foil offers surprisingly large amounts of grip when at speed given its 20cm (7.87 in.) length and small 216cm² (33.5 in²) area however when you initiate your buoy turn the fin is designed to change the behavior of the board significantly enabling you to get much tighter transition. The foil has some special properties which optimize the turning ability at low speeds just when you need it but increasing the grip as the speed increases on the straights so that you can deliver more power through your paddle.
The Tiger race fin will increase your raceboard’s top-end speed while helping it to turn on a dime. Many races are won and lost at the buoys, the Tiger will enable you to attack each turn and turn it into a race winning opportunity.
We worked with our global team of elite athletes to develop the Tiger SUP racing fin to fit their needs while racing in a range of conditions all over the globe. Riders of the Tiger SUP race fin will enjoy higher average speed, faster peak speed and tighter technical buoy turns. The fin will get you round the course more efficiently while helping you to leave less overtaking opportunities for your competitors. Racing is about getting from A to B as quickly as possible with the caveat that in technical races with lots of turning that becomes A to B to C to D etc.
The Tiger race fin uses a proprietary fin foil to generate increased lift while adding stability, improved tracking and efficiency so that every paddle stroke is translated into forward motion. The foil generates large amounts of lift with very low drag, the result is that you get maximum speed with minimum effort.
The foil is designed to add tracking at speed and to break free at low speeds for fast buoy turns.
Built in our hand laminated LiteCore construction for the lightest fin possible weighing in at only 150 grams (5.29 ounces) while maintaining excellent stiffness and strength. Our Pro Carbon technology is so light that our fins float freely in water.
Collectively the features of the Tiger SUP race fin ensure that you are going to paddle faster, track straight and turn the buoys quicker with more control.

This table and chart illustrates what the TIGER is best used for, if this matches your needs then it is an ideal choice for you.
When investing in a fin upgrade, you need to make sure you have the correct fit for your board. Unfortunately, board companies have so far not agreed on the preferred standard for fin boxes.
What makes it more confusing is that to the untrained eye, both fin box systems look almost identical. Luckily we have this area covered and the details below will ensure that you get the correct fin for your board.
US STANDARD Base
Fits Starboard, JP-Australia, Fanatic, Mistral, RRD and most production brands with an origin in windsurfing. This is the same fin box that’s found on many windsurfing boards and is wider and deeper, with the pin set further from the deck of the board. The base is 9.2mm thick.
US SURF Base / Longboard Base / Bahne Box
This is the same box that is standard in many surf longboards. It is a narrower and shallower base as used by SIC, Infinity, 404, Naish, Flying Fish and many more. Narrower and shallower than the US base, these boxes have the pin set closer to the deck of the board. The base is 9.0mm thick.
IMPORTANT: If you are unsure which base you need, look at the base of your old fin and contact us for assistance.
New construction featuring LiteCORE technology
Our new, hand-laminated, ultralight carbon construction takes quality, light weight and durability to new levels. While the previous RTM molded fins were great, we still saw room for improvement and incorporated those areas into the new fins.
The new layup featuring our carbon infused LiteCore technology enables us to control weight, strength and flex more precisely than before. The result is a paddleboard race fin which is race now approximately 25 grams lighter while being more resilient to damage.
